Jennifer M. Suarez is a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) by Postpartum Support International. She earned her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University and graduated from Seton Hall University with a Masters/Ed.S in Mental Health Counseling. She has over 12 years of experience working with adults, adolescents and children seeking help with: depression, anxiety, mood disorders, sexual assault, domestic violence, and perinatal mood disorders. She has experience working in different settings such as children’s inpatient, partial hospitalization programs, psychiatric ER, in-home services and private practice. She utilizes strength-based, cognitive behavioral, solution focused and emotionally focused approaches to therapy. She always maintains the flexibility and awareness necessary to best meet the needs of every unique individual taking into account cultural, environmental and societal factors.
